What's New in Vectorworks Architect 2026
Vectorworks Architect 2026 is built around three themes: refined graphics through automated Depth Cueing, integrated sustainability analysis, and smarter handling of large data tables.
- Depth Cueing: Line weights, tonal values, and pixel transparency now adjust automatically based on an object's distance from the camera in both Hidden Line and Shaded viewports, adding spatial clarity to drawings without manual linework.
- Door and Window Assemblies: Doors, windows, infill panels, sills, lintels, stools, shutters, trim, and symbols can be combined into a single styled, editable assembly object, addressing what was previously an error-prone manual process for complex façades.
- Door, Window & Wall 2D Detailing: Granular control over 2D graphic detail levels lets architects generate accurate wall plans directly from the 3D model instead of manually reworking 2D output.
- Sustainability Dashboard: A live web palette tracks embodied carbon, Urban Greening Factor, Biomass Density Index, and Biodiversity Net Gain in real time as the design changes, pulling data directly from parametric objects and material styles.
- Enhanced Embodied Carbon Calculator: Predefined concept and planning categories support early-stage carbon assessment, with automated material aggregation and easy imperial/metric conversion.
- Worksheet Slicing: Large worksheets can now be split into linked, auto-adjusting sections with pinned headers, positioned side by side or across multiple sheet layouts, inside a new ribbon-style worksheet toolbar.
- File Health Checker (subscription only): A diagnostic palette scans documents for hidden geometry and resource issues and offers one-click fixes to keep files lean and stable.
