SolidCAM

One perpetual seat in stock at €5,390, listed in the grid below. SolidCAM is programmed inside the CAD window rather than beside it, so the toolpath sits on the live model and follows it when the model changes. For a shop that already designs its own parts, that removes the export step and the version confusion that comes with it.

Who it tends to suit

Shops that design and cut the same part. If your models arrive finished from a customer, a standalone CAM seat such as hyperMILL may fit better, and if the seat has to carry modelling, analysis and machining together then Siemens NX is the comparison to make. Tell us how the work reaches you and we will say which of the three is the honest answer.

The process

How a SolidCAM transfer works

The same four steps every time.

1

Share details

Which CAD seat it has to sit inside, and which machines it has to post for.

2

We check

Which modules the licence carries, plus eligibility and paperwork, before you pay anything.

3

We transfer

Reassigned under publisher terms. The previous owner deactivates and ceases use.

4

Complete

The seat is registered in your own name. Keep the documentation for audits.

FAQ

SolidCAM questions

Do I need a CAD licence as well?

Yes. SolidCAM runs inside a CAD system rather than standing alone, so you need a seat of that CAD to run it in. If you do not have one, tell us and we will price the pair together rather than leaving you to find out afterwards.

Which modules does this seat include?

Ask us before you buy. A CAM licence is assembled from modules and the name on the box does not tell you which ones. We confirm exactly what this seat carries, in writing, before you pay anything.

What about post processors for my machines?

A post processor is matched to a specific machine and control, so a transferred seat arrives with whatever the previous owner had. Tell us which machines you run and we will check what comes with the licence before you commit.

Is a transferred SolidCAM licence legally valid?

Yes. Perpetual software licences may be lawfully resold within the EU once distribution rights are exhausted, under ECJ Case C-128/11 and Directive 2009/24/EC Article 4(2). Every transfer we complete follows publisher terms, the previous owner ceases use, and you receive the documentation.

Do I get an invoice and transfer documentation?

Yes. You receive a proper invoice and the full transfer documentation. All prices are net, this is a B2B shop.

Not sure which version you need?

Tell us what you run and what your clients send you. You'll get an answer from someone who uses this software, not a sales script.
