About Camtek & PEPS

Camtek GmbH was founded in 1993 in Weinstadt, Germany, by two former Charmilles engineers, initially as a distributor of the PEPS CAM system before developing its own modules and extensions. PEPS itself has changed hands several times since — acquired by Vero Software in 2006, then Battery Ventures in 2010, then Hexagon AB in 2014, where it remains part of Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division today.

PEPS was the first Windows-based CAM system for milling and turning, and is used for milling, turning, wire EDM, multi-axis laser trimming and rotary tube cutting.
