What's New in Vectorworks Architect 2025
Vectorworks Architect 2025 centered on 3D navigation, interior detailing, and cloud-based collaboration, adding several tools requested directly by interior design and architecture customers.
- Two-Point Perspective & Onscreen View Control: A new one-click 3D navigation cube with compass and axis indicators sits in the corner of the window, and a dedicated two-point perspective mode keeps verticals truly vertical for architectural presentation views.
- Room Finishes: Wall, floor, ceiling, and baseboard finishes can be assigned per wall, by cardinal direction (NESW), or uniformly across a room, then stored in a shared project or office library.
- Countertop tool: Paired with the Cabinet tool, this new parametric tool auto-generates countertops from selected cabinets, complete with backsplashes, waterfall edges, and automatically cut holes for sinks and outlets.
- BIM Construction Classification: Classification codes (e.g. Uniclass, MasterFormat) can be assigned automatically via rule sets based on object type, style, or symbol name, with manual override where needed.
- Cloud Document Reviewer: Documents can be shared as a link for browser-based viewing and commenting, without recipients needing a Vectorworks installation.
- Collaboration: A simplified Project Sharing setup, automatic offline backups, and improved DWG/DXF and Revit collaboration round out the release, alongside object-level visibility control.
